Northampton is the UK's top office location
Northampton has been named the UK’s top location for office
space in a report released by property consultants Lambert Smith
Hampton. It investigates a number of factors including property
rental costs, geographical location, availability and levels of
skilled labour.
Roger Mendonca, WNDC’s Deputy Chief Executive, said:
“It is excellent news that Northampton is positioned at the top
of a survey like the location index. We should be proud that
Northampton is being recognised as a great place to do business,
strategically located at the centre of England, with a rate of
employment well above the national average.”
The growth agenda promises yet further economic success if
Northampton can provide enough office space to satisfy both current
and future demand, especially in the town centre. WNDC will
maintain its good working relationship with local partners and
continue to invest in town centre regeneration. New infrastructure,
such as new roads and public transport, will also help safeguard
existing employment and attract new businesses that will bring more
and better jobs to Northampton.
